It depends on the insurance company. As a general guide, commercial insurers often take about 60 to 120 days from a complete application. Medicare enrollment is often 30 to 60 days or more; CMS's own processing targets for online PECOS applications run up to 50 days, or up to 85 days if a site visit or fingerprinting is required. Medicaid varies by state, and in many states you also have to be credentialed separately with each Medicaid managed care plan. These are typical ranges, not promises. Payers set their own timelines, and missing documents or a payer backlog can add time.

Usually: your NPI (individual, and group if you have one), state license(s), DEA and board certification if applicable, malpractice insurance certificate, a W-9 for the billing entity, your CV or work history, practice address and phone, and your CAQH login if you already have a profile. After you order, we send a checklist so nothing is missed.

CAQH (now called the CAQH Provider Data Portal, run by DataSpring) is a free online profile where providers store their credentialing information once and authorize insurance companies to view it. Most commercial insurers and many Medicaid plans require a complete, attested CAQH profile before they will process your application. The profile must be re-attested every 120 days. If you don't have one or yours is out of date, we offer CAQH setup for a one-time $99.

Pricing is flat and per insurance company: $135 for an individual (solo) provider, $80 per provider for groups, $70 for re-credentialing, and $35 for EDI/ERA/EFT setup. CAQH setup is a one-time $99. Yes. When you order credentialing with 5 or more insurance companies, you get 10% off the credentialing fees. The discount does not apply to CAQH setup.

No. The insurance company makes the final decision, and no credentialing company can honestly guarantee approval. What we do guarantee is the work: complete applications, regular follow-up, and a status update every 2 weeks until each application is decided.

Some insurers stop accepting new providers in certain areas or specialties. When a panel is closed, we let you know, and where the payer allows it we can ask for an exception (for example, if you serve an underserved area or offer a needed specialty) or request a waitlist. Payers are not required to grant exceptions. Our fee covers the work we do whether or not the payer opens the panel.

All fees are final once an order is placed, including when an insurer denies an application or a panel is closed, because the work starts right away. Please read our Refund Policy before ordering, and call us with any questions first.
